Josh & Lauren have served Hickory Cove as counselors and summer staff for many years, and have been part of our year-round staff since their marriage in May 2005. Josh is the Program Director, and is responsible for planning and management of programming and scheduling of all camp sessions, as well as helping to facilitate guest groups and promotional events. He also supports Keith in his role as Executive Director and is currently the camp webmaster.
Lauren, in addition to assisting Josh with programming and promotion, is the Trading Post Manager. She keeps the Trading Post stocked with food and drink, camp memorabilia, and other items for campers to purchase. She is also the editor of our quarterly newsletter.
On August 10, 2008, Josh and Lauren Nixon became the proud parents of Russell Emory Nixon. Russell enjoyed his first Lumberjack Weekend in October 2008.
