Why Hickory Cove?

Mission
To provide a haven in God’s creation where young people are challenged to become effective, kingdom-minded Christ followers through sound Bible teaching and meaningful discipleship relationships.

Spiritual Experience
Hickory Cove is a great place for fun. But the primary purpose is to provide a spiritual benefit for your campers. Guest groups for us are a vital part of our ministry and we are always on the lookout for ways that we can help your campers and staff to grow spiritually.

Facilities
Hickory Cove Bible Camp and Retreat Center sits on a secluded acreage on Lake Hickory, suitable for boating and fishing. The camp also features a swimming pool with slide and diving board, a gym for volleyball and basketball, playing fields, archery range, room to house between 114-118 people, chapel with sound and video system, nature trails, hayrides, campfires and TAC course.

Staff
Hickory Cove has a growing group of full-time staff members who have years of experience in counseling, service work and Christian camp work. In addition, we have a trained group of part-time workers who can handle any type of function or activity.

Service
Current Guest Groups have expressed to us their appreciation in the staff and facilities. We are flexible, attentive and ready to help make your event a success.

Cost
Of course, our prices are competitive. All of our staff members — even the full-time staff — are volunteers. That means we don’t have to charge high prices to cover salaries. And we have established a unique price structure that lets you pay for just what you use, rather than having to fit into a “package” that may not be what you need.

Affiliation
Hickory Cove is a long-time member of Christian Camp and Conference Association (CCCA), which gives us access to the latest in Christian camping ideas and technology. While our emphasis is clearly Christian and Biblical, we function as a non-denominational Camp, accepting all who agree not to teach anything contrary to our doctrinal statement.

The Bottom Line
No amount of words can convince you to hold your event at Hickory Cove. We ask only that you pray about the possibility, then call to arrange a visit. We can also put you in touch with others who have been to Hickory Cove — some for many years — so you can hear directly about their Hickory Cove experience.
