Harold Phillips – Food Service Manager

Harold first came to Hickory Cove bringing kids to camp while serving as a Youth Pastor. It was there that Harold met Chuck Myers (Hickory Cove’s Executive Director at the time) and shared with him how he had always felt led to be in camp ministry. Shortly after, God opened the door for Harold to come and be part of Hickory Cove as the Food Service Manager.

Harold received his Bachelor of Religious Education from Gardner Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC. He married Kathie in 1991 and they have three children — Jordan, Justin and Kallie. Jordan is a graduate of Mars Hill University. Justin is currently serving as a year-round intern at Hickory Cove and hopes to continue serving at Hickory Cove if possible. Kallie is their only daughter and loves to swim.

Harold loves getting to work with wonderful young adults and saying hello to campers of all ages. Next time you’re at Hickory Cove, be sure to stop by the dining hall and look for a wave and a smile from Harold. He’ll be glad to see you!
