IMPORTANT: Please note that this year’s Lumberjack Weekend will give you an opportunity for a true camp out experience with your son while our indoor facilities (dorms, dining hall, chapel, etc.) remain closed. 

What is it? Lumberjack Weekend

What’s it all about? This annual retreat is an extraordinary opportunity for fathers and sons to reconnect in the great outdoors and strengthen their relationships with each other and with God. Don’t miss out on a chance to make memories you’ll be talking about for years to come!

Who’s the speaker and what’s the topic? This year’s speaker is Scott Torres, who is an author, pastor, and speaker from Huntersville, NC. Click here to learn more about him and the topic he’ll be speaking on:  “Why Doesn’t Prayer Work”.

Who’s it for? Fathers and sons of all ages

When is it? Oct 2-4 (registration deadline – Thur, Sept 24)

  • Arrive: 6pm, Fri Oct 2 (dinner served Fri evening)
    • Check-In – 6-8pm (front of office)
    • Dinner – 6-8pm (pavilion)
  • Depart: 11am, Sun Oct 4 (breakfast served Sun morning)

What kind of lodging is offered? Tent camping ONLY (bring your own tent)

Will all activities and meals be outside? Yes, all activities and meals will be outside as our indoor facilities are currently closed.

Will bathrooms and showers be available? Yes, a limited number of bathrooms and showers will be available

How much is it?
  • $100/adult
  • $50/youth ages 11-17
  • $25/child ages 4-10
  • 3 and under = Free
  • Family max of $200

What kind of financial aid is available? A limited number of scholarships are available for qualifying applicants on a first-come, first-served basis. The scholarship application can be accessed during the online Lumberjack Weekend registration process.
