Barry Allison – Business Manager

Barry AllisonBarry is a retired mental health counselor with a Master of Education in Counseling from Winthrop University. He spent his 30-year career working in residential treatment settings with severely troubled children and young adults.

He learned of Hickory Cove when his daughter, Cara, came and worked here as a counselor for two summers.  He came to think highly of the camp because of the impact that the strong Christian setting here had in strengthening her relationship with Christ. Eventually, God led Barry to come and work here full time as our Business Manager.

In addition to Cara, Barry has two adult sons Josh and Ben.  Barry is a big-time Clemson tiger fan, (his undergraduate alma mater). He is also a big-time fan of Hickory Cove Bible Camp: “I see the faithful hand of God at work here in so many ways and I am blessed to work in such a genuinely Christ-centered ministry.”

Barry’s request would be to “please pray for camp and for God to provide for and guide all of the full-time staff here.”

Pictured with Barry is his constant companion Oscar – the camp dog. Oscar is the camp’s Director of Sniffs and Barks!
